Director, The Florida Capitol Project

I have some really exciting news to share with you all which has been released through social media, but needs to find wider announcement through my blog site. An amazing open door has presented itself to me which seems to be an exact fit to my evolving call to the area of cultural reformation.

John Stemberger of the Florida Family Policy Council (A state lobbying organization which influences public policy in matters pertaining to faith, family, and freedom), has invited me to join his team and become the Director of The Florida Capitol Project. This position will involve reaching, inspiring, soliciting, networking, organizing and training the pastors of the nearly 12,600 self-identified Bible-believing churches in Florida to engage the civic arena with a biblical worldview. It’s first steps are to connect Pastors and Christian leaders to their civic representatives in a non-partisan relationship for the advancement of God’s Kingdom. The Florida Capitol Project lobbies for no party, but rather communicates truth to all parties with no earthly allegiance. We will be training pastors to speak the full counsel of God to both sides of the aisle.

This amazing opportunity provides an open door for me to work and minister in my unique calling of cultural engagement and reformation. The events which led up to this moment are, in my opinion, providential and miraculous in their impact. It is obvious to all that God is involved in this moment and my response has been an enthusiastic “yes” to the invitation. In some ways, this seems to fulfill the personal words I have received through the years concerning an “apostolic” calling to train aspiring pastors and prophets; especially in the civic arena. I am especially excited as many whom I have recently met in this ministry arena are creating and executing a brand new “wineskin” which is refreshingly biblical in both philosophy and practice. I have been delightfully surprised by many unexpected developments which I believe will bear much fruit. Stay tuned…things are stirring in the halls of civic government.

This position will demand my full-time attention and focus. That being said, Legacy Christian Ministries will remain in tact as I will continue to find time to write (I have started outlining my second book). Tracie will still be available for Women’s Events, Conferences and retreats, as well as Freedom and Wholeness Weekends. The only thing that must conclude is my time at Southeastern University-Jacksonville, as that position will no longer be possible with my full energies invested in this new assignment.

I have already attended the Southern Baptist Convention of Florida to begin reaching out to Baptist pastors. I am also finding some amazing doors opening with other denominations as well as non-denominational networks. I’m excited to meet new friends across the orthodox, Christian landscape, as well as partner with long-time pastor friends across the state of Florida. We are excited and joyful over the doors God has opened. We appreciate so many of you who have been praying for us.

In the coming days as I start to get my bearings in this new season and settle into the routine of a new assignment, I am going to use this blog site as an opportunity to train leaders in the theology of cultural engagement as well as re-start some “live” social media moments to reach out, train, market, and solicit participation from pastors and leaders to the missionary field of civic government. I know you have read previously of my intentions to get these social media arenas “freshened up” and I can hear the snickers of, “sure you will”; but I am laser-focused for a fast start in 2020. I hope you will stop by the blog site on occasion and catch up, as well as be on the lookout for “live” interaction via social media.

Pray for the Baird’s as we will be traveling across this great state of Florida meeting pastors and sharing this vision. Pray for providential meetings and open doors. Pray for open hearts in Tallahassee to the Gospel and God’s unchangeable Word.

I have found out again, that when you trust God with your steps and determine by faith to obey Him no matter the cost, He will provide in miraculous ways. Trust Him. You’ll be glad you did.
