PROFILE

Kevin Baird (age 65) had a born-again experience at the age of 18, received the call to ministry several months later, and began his training pursuit to fulfill God’s purpose. Providentially, opportunities to speak were offered and from an early age (19) he has been a featured speaker at ministry conferences, college campuses, revival services, religious liberty gatherings, scores of global conferences and cultural engagement events. He became a Lead Pastor at the age of 24 and has served in various ministry and nonprofit organization capacities which have included: Minister of Education, Academic Dean, College Professor, Master’s Commission Director, and director of three state ministerial networks of pastors and churches.

He has been married to his college sweetheart, Tracie, for 43 years and has 3 children: Clayton, who is the Lead Pastor at Legacy House, Ponte Vedra, FL.; Tyler, an accountant at Celebration Church, Jacksonville, FL.; and Kalyn, the Executive Director of Projects at Church for the One (formerly Highland Park Nazarene), Lakeland, FL.

  • Director of the Church Ambassador Network representing hundreds of churches and pastors across the state of Florida. The network has over 3,000 contacts.

  • This was an intentional church plant to reach the Lowcountry of South Carolina.
  • Hosted the local talk radio show, TRUE DISCIPLES, which focused on cultural analysis from a biblical worldview perspective. The show reached the metropolitan region of Charleston, SC for over 10 years.

Pastor, James Island Christian Church, Charleston, SC – 1997 – 2002

  • Senior Pastor of a non-denominational church that grew from 150 to 1000 over a five-year period. This also included oversight and training of large church staff and associated Christian School (K-12) / K-4 Preparatory School. (7 full-time Pastors; 3 School Administrators; 10 Support Staff; 25+ Classroom Teachers)
  • Budget increased from $500,000 to $3,500,000. ($850,000 to $6,100,000 in 2024 monetary comparison.)
  • Oversight to 3 building projects: 1000 seat Sanctuary, Family Life Center/Field House, School and Church Offices.

Executive Pastor (Minister of Education), Evangel Cathedral, Spartanburg, SC – 1989 – 1997

Oversight of total education program of 3,000-member non-denomination Church. This included:

  • Pastoral Teaching Team and primary speaker in lieu of Lead Pastor.
  • All New Member, Discipleship, and Leadership Training.
  • Founded a fully recognized Bible College with all state exemptions and accreditation for the granting of diplomas. This school was eventually acquired by Christian Life School of Theology -then- Beacon University, Columbus, GA (regionally accredited through the doctoral level).
